Classical Practice

Hatha Yoga, the classical way — never online, always in person.

The word Hatha is itself a classical practice, subtle in what it actually means. What I point people toward are the teachers trained to carry it properly.

The teachers I follow have been through Isha Gurukula — a rigorous, six-month, intensive training within the Isha Foundation. That training is what separates classical Hatha Yoga from what most of us have seen labeled “yoga” in a gym or a studio.

What they teach is a specific, deep set of practices — āsana, prāṇāyāma, and dhyāna, built on a foundation most people never encounter:

  • Angamardana
  • Yoga Āsana
  • Surya Kriya
  • Surya Shakti
  • Bhuta Shuddhi
  • Prāṇāyāma
  • Meditations

None of this is available online, and it never will be. These teachers have dedicated their lives to traveling — to studios, to homes, to whatever space will have them — because this is something learned in a room with another person, not through a screen. Sometimes you go to them. Sometimes they come to you. Either way, you show up in person.
