Phase 1, live

Connecting the people who keep Hatha Yoga alive.

Towoii — The Only Way Out Is In — connects three people: the teacher who creates and schedules a class, the host who provides the space it happens in, and the student who books it. This is offline, in-person practice — never a video call.

Where it stands today

Phase 1 is live, at towoii.com. Teachers can schedule a class and pick the space it happens in. Hosts can offer their space once a teacher vets it. Students can find a class, book it, and pay securely — or pin what they’re looking for on the Board if it doesn’t exist yet. I built it the same way I said I would: real conversations with real teachers first, software second.

This website still isn’t the application — towoii.com is — but it’s still where teachers, hosts, and students can understand what this is and why, before they use it.

Why this exists

The gap between three good things.

Traveling through this practice, I kept meeting the same three kinds of people, standing just out of reach of each other. Teachers trained the old way, through Isha Gurukula, who carry real depth but often have no reach beyond a small circle. Students who want exactly that kind of teaching and have no idea where to look for it, because it doesn’t advertise itself. And hosts — studio owners, or just people with a spare room and a good floor — who have the space for a class but no way to find the right teacher to fill it.

Towoii is my attempt to close that gap: a small, trustworthy system that puts these three in the same room, instead of leaving it to chance encounters like the one that got me here.

How it works

Two ways a class happens.

Most of the time

A teacher schedules it

A teacher picks a location and a date. A host who’s already been vetted by that teacher provides the space. Students book a spot.

The Board

Or you request one

If the class you want doesn’t exist yet, you pin what you’re looking for — the practice, the dates that work for you. Once enough people want the same thing, a teacher can pick it up and make it happen. Demand doesn’t just sit there waiting to be noticed.

Built on trust

Trust isn’t optional here.

Every teacher in Towoii is Isha Gurukula-trained — that’s not a filter I apply loosely, it’s the actual gate. Before a class happens in a new space, the teacher reviews it personally: photos, videos, sometimes an in-person visit, before they approve it. A host isn’t a public listing you browse — it’s a space a teacher has actually vetted.

I know that’s a lot to take on faith from a website, so don’t. If anything here raises a question, ask me directly — that’s exactly how I’ve done this with every teacher so far. We sit down, they ask me the hard questions, and I answer them in person. I’ll do the same with you, whether you’re a teacher, a host, or a student.

Teachers

Isha Gurukula-trained Hatha Yoga teachers

A place to be found by students who are specifically looking for traditional training — not lost in a general listings site.

Students

People looking for the real thing

A trustworthy way to find a teacher, book a class, or request one that doesn’t exist yet.

Hosts

Spaces looking for the right teacher

A way to offer your space — a studio, a home, a hall — to a teacher whose class is genuinely worth hosting.

Have questions before you try it?

Towoii is live at towoii.com, and I’m still the one behind it — vetting every teacher personally, the same way I have from day one. If you want to talk before you dive in, as a teacher, a host, or a student, tell me a little about yourself below and I’ll follow up personally.
